Matthew likes to size things up, makes friends slowly but is first in line for pats once he gets to know you. (He is always first in line at the food bowl!)
Matthew and brother Gunnar were rescued by The Feline Connection in early April and seem to have had a tough early life. At one point we thought they were bonded, but we had to separate them, and they both did well independently. However, if adopted together they would keep each other company.
Matthew has been neutered, microchipped, and has his age-appropriate vaccinations. He tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV. Matthew is on prescription urinary food, which he will need on an ongoing basis.
Mathew is looking for a quiet home without small children or dogs. He needs a little support to help him learn to trust again. If you’re seeking a playful cat who will reward your patience and affection with lots of pats and purrs, please submit an adoption application below!
