Beautiful and human-curious dilute Tortie companion cat seeks a loving and gentle Forever Family.
Nicosia is a beautiful unusual dilute tortoiseshell girl. She is part of our Phantom Feline program because she is very timid with humans, but not at all aggressive. Nicosia will cautiously lean her head out to sniff a human hand, so with a bit of patience, she will likely become more comfortable around humans. She may or may not ever allow pets and snuggles.
Her foster mom says that she is “out and about” when the foster mom is in the room with her. You can see how close she is in the photo above.
She will make a great low-maintenance companion animal and gets along well with other cats. We do not know if she is good at rodent control or not, due to a lack of opportunity to display her hunting skills. We will also consider a Barn home for her as well.
We estimate Nicosia was born in late May 2021. She was too old for total socialization when we rescued her in late August, unfortunately. She has been spayed and given age-appropriate vaccines. She tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV.
