Cicada: A Sweet 1/2 Blind Girl Who Will Steal Your Heart with her loud purrs and gentle soul
Cicada is a sweet, mellow (yet playful!) tabby kitten who is searching for her forever home. Born in mid-October 16th, 2023, she came to us a bit under the weather with an upper respiratory infection that likely caused her blindness in her left eye. This resulted in the permanent loss of vision in her left eye, but that doesn’t slow her down!
Cicada is initially cautious but warms up quickly, especially with the promise of a delicious Churu treat. Once she trusts you, get ready for endless purrs, belly rubs, and cuddle sessions. She’s easily startled, so a calm and quiet environment would be ideal for this gentle soul.
The purrfect match for Cicada would be:
- A calm and patient home that understands her range of vision
- A feline friend (she gets along great with other cats!) Consider some of her roommates and littermates; Woolly Bear, Katydid, Grasshopper, Tussock
- A Churu supply (it’s her love language!)

- She has been spayed, microchipped and given age-appropriate vaccines
- She tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV
- DSH, classic (bullseye) gray tabby
- She is not a good fit for a home with children or dogs.
