Sweet, active, pretty, cuddly and snuggly sums up this great kitten!
Melanite is a sweet and fun little girl who loves to play and run, especially with toys and laser pens. However, she also really enjoys snuggles and belly rubs when she is tired! She likes company and is good with cats, and respectful dogs and kids. If you enjoy the silliness of zoomies AND the sweetness of snuggles – “Mel” is perfect for you!
She would do well with a family that loves zoomies and would actively play with her. She would probably enjoy respectful kids who would play nicely with her or an adult who would give her lots of attention with frequent play and cuddle time. I think she’d prefer a fur sibling, as she seems excited when a new fur friend is introduced to her.
She was born into a home with cats, dogs, and a toddler. Melanite and her wonderful sisters Snowflake Obsidian and Black Pearl were 9 weeks or so when we received them (SPIF babies). She has met (limitedly) our dog and accepted her immediately. When she met another foster cat she wanted to be best friends immediately and had no hesitation. We had an adopter here who brought his young children and she was very calm and sweet, so yes, she’s good with all.
Foster Family
Like her sister Snowflake Obsidian, Melanite loves Greenies and the laser toy, but her favorite place to sleep is the kitty tree! She is very curious and wants to know what is going on at all times.
Snowflake Obsidian was born on or near July 19, 2023. She has been spayed, microchipped, and given age-appropriate vaccines. She tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV. Her foster family has zero litterbox concerns. She is ready to go to her Forever Family! Melanite is an active kitten and we recommend she be adopted into a family with a young and playful feline sibling or with another kitten. This will keep her (and you) entertained, give her company when you are gone, and help with good socialization.
